The Bridgeport community recognized two of News 12 Connecticut's own this weekend.
They came together in Trumbull Gardens to celebrate Black History Month and honor News 12 Connecticut's Frank Recchia.
Organizers say Recchia's service and community involvement has been priceless.
News 12 Connecticut's Gwen Edwards was also honored at the event.
Frank Recchia accepted the award on her behalf.
