Crews in Bridgeport spent most of Friday gearing up for the possible weekend snowstorm.
Workers at the Public Works garage on North Washington Avenue say they spent the morning inspecting their trucks, making sure the vehicles were ready for the snow.
Officials say that plows were taken off many of their trucks because of the nice weather recently, and had to be reattached.
Since the temperatures have been so warm, crews will only be pretreating the road with a salt solution only. They say a salt and sand mix is only needed in colder temperatures. They will begin pretreating the roads early Sunday morning.
Although officials are hoping the storm misses the region, they say they will have a full staff ready to go.
