A Bridgeport day care closed during the pandemic is getting the word out that it is back in business.

St. Mark's Daycare Center in the East End is under new leadership.

Dr. Sheila Kearney, the interim executive director, was born and raised in the East End, and says she's proud to have gone from the streets of Bridgeport to Harvard.

The day care, which serves newborns to 5-year-olds, currently has 60 kids enrolled, but hopes to bring on more than 100 more.

The nonprofit day care hopes for support from local donors.
