A fast moving fire in Bridgeport that forced eight people out of their homes last night is under investigation.
Intense flames shot from the roof of a house around 7 p.m. on Noble Avenue.
Firefighters say the flames caused significant damage to the home. Witnesses say the fire began on the rear porch of the second floor and then quickly spread to the rest of the home.
Councilman Alfredo Castillo and Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch both live nearby and offered their help. The Red Cross is also helping those displaced by the fire.
All of the people inside the home made it out safely.
