2ds agoThe Bridgeport mother of a 14-year-old girl who was critically hurt in a shooting over the weekend is calling for an end to gun violence.
The mother, who asked not to be identified, says her daughter was shot on Highland Avenue Saturday morning. She says the bullet pierced her daughter's intestines and she now has to have a colostomy bag.
The mother says whoever pulled the trigger should surrender to police so that her family can begin healing.
Police are asking anyone who can help identify the shooter to call 203-576-TIPS.
