A Bridgeport nun says her prayers were answered Thursday when a local business owner presented her with thousands of dollars worth of toys for the needy children in her parish.
Sister Theresa Tremblay received the items at a surprise party held in her honor at Mickey's Restaurant on Maplewood Avenue.
The owner of Mickey's, John June, says the toys were all donated by local bikers, and he is grateful for their generosity.
Around this time last year, thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of items from Sister Theresa's church. June says he wanted to make a point that not all people are bad, in addition to brightening up the holidays for many children.
June says he is still accepting donations, which can be dropped off at Mickey's through the first week of December.
