Police in Bridgeport are investigating what led to an early morning shooting Saturday.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement about the shooting, except to say that one victim was shot twice.
The shooting happened at about 1:45 a.m. around East Main and Hamilton streets across from the Calypso Café.
Convenience store employee Ortes Ray says he was working at the time of the shooting. "I was working in my store," he says. "I heard everybody screaming outside and I closed my store."
While many people in the area say there are rarely disturbances at the café, service station owner Nol Valeg disagrees.
"Every weekend I come here, I have to send two guys [to] come out here and clean all the glass all over the floor," he says. "That's the only problem I have with it."
