Bridgeport police are investigating the city's 22nd homicide of the year.

The lastest happened inside the Green Homes Housing Project.

Police responded to a call at the housing project on Friday night at around 11:30 p.m. in apartment 336, where they found 37-year-old Taurus Williams shot multiple times.

Williams was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he later died.

Officers say no arrests have been made.

This latest homicide came just hours before Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch and police teamed up to host a gun buyback program to get dangerous weapons off city streets.
