A search is underway for a woman accused of attacking two small children in The Bronx.

Police say they received a report about a woman using a belt to strike a 4-year-old and 6-year-old several times near Washington Avenue and East 168th Street. The incident happened on May 7.

The Bronx district attorney says a warrant has been issued for the woman’s arrest. She was not named by officials.

The Administration for Children's Services says it takes the allegations very seriously, and that the contracted provider terminated the woman from her position as a nanny.
