A frustrated Bronx mom is calling for schedule changes after her daughter was stuck on a school bus for hours.
Sarita Diaz says her special needs 9-year-old, Delilah, spends too much time on the bus, even though their home is only 15 minutes away from P.S. 306 on West Tremont Avenue.
Diaz complains that it took more than four hours for her daughter to get home last week. The long ride is made even more difficult because Delilah suffers from cerebral palsy.
Delilah was also late to school Monday because the bus picked her up nearly an hour after it was supposed to.
The Department of Education says it's looking into the matter.
