A Bronx priest was struck by a stray bullet when gunfire erupted early Sunday morning in Queens, police say. Father Damian Ekete, 49, was shot in what police are describing as a drive-by shooting.

A Bronx priest was struck by a stray bullet when gunfire erupted early Sunday morning in Queens, police say.
Father Damian Ekete, 49, was shot in what police are describing as a drive-by shooting.
A spokesperson for the Archdiocese of New York says Ekete is already back at his parish, the Church of the Holy Spirit in Morris Heights.
Police say the intended target of the shooting was not injured and no arrests have been made.
