Police in Fairfield are trying to track down the gunman who held up a liquor store last night, marking the second time the shop was robbed in weeks.
It happened at the Brooklawn Discount Liquor store on Brooklawn Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, just as the store was closing for the night.
Security cameras were rolling as the suspect entered and put a gun to the back of the owner, forcing him to the rear of the store. The gunman then leaned over the store's counter and ordered the clerk to hand over cash.
The thief got away with about $700. An outside camera recorded the gunman walking out of the business, his gun still drawn.
The owner says he believes the suspect is the same person who robbed him last month.
Police are asking anyone with information to call (203) 254-4800.
