Beachgoers flocked to Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk on Monday to celebrate July Fourth.
Beach officials said Monday saw the biggest crowds at the beach so far this summer.
They said extra precautions were taken to keep everyone safe.
Some beachgoers said they didn't like the large crowds, but many said they were just happy to be having fun in the sun.
