Stratfield Road reopened Tuesday morning after a car hit a utility pole in Fairfield.

Police say the driver was not seriously hurt in the crash that happened just before 11 p.m. on Monday. They're continuing to investigate what led to the crash, and say no other cars were involved.

The 500 block of Stratfield Road, near Assumption Church, was closed for several hours Tuesday morning.

United Illuminating Co. has not reported any power outages due to the crash.
