A Stamford organization is making sure children know how to be safe while in the water.
The ZAC Foundation kicked off its Water Safety Camp at the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford Monday.
The four-day camp teaches kids about the importance of water safety through classes and swim lessons.
The foundation was created after the founders' son Zachary drowned in a pool.
Organizers want to teach children how to be safe in and around the water to prevent future tragedies.
Over 100 children ages 5-9 are participating in the camp this week.
