The suspect in the fatal Christmas Eve shooting of a Bridgeport teen appeared in court today.
Police arrested Michael Majors, 23, who they say confessed to the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Luis Colon.
They say Majors opened fire on a group of people on State Street on Christmas Eve.
Police say Colon, a Harding High School freshman, was leaving a dollar store when he was caught in the crossfire between rival drug dealers and struck by a stray bullet. A 17-year-old was also injured during the shooting but is expected to be OK.
Court officials say Majors did not have a prior criminal record.
Majors is being held on $1 million bond and is due back in court Jan. 19.
