A community effort is underway to help a Milford family who lost almost everything in a fire last week.
The family of six who live on Old Point Road say it will be eight months until they can move back home after flames sparked due to a lightning strike during last week's powerful storms. Family members say they fled the home with just the clothes on their backs.

Araujo says since last week, friends, neighbors and strangers have stepped up to help. Now, state Rep. Kim Rose has organized a clothing drive.
