The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is advising to avoid open burning for the next several days to help prevent brush fires.
The agency says there were some reported brush fires over the weekend.
They say fires could spread fast due to dry conditions and wind and may be hard to put out.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hilda Estevez says a dry spell is expected for Tuesday and Wednesday as low humidity levels and active winds may start brush fires.
