The sports fields at Greenwich High School have finally reopened, months after officials found dangerous chemicals in the soil.
Town officials say that lead, arsenic and PCBs were found in the soil during a construction project last summer, prompting the closure of the fields.
The groundwater was only minimally affected by the chemicals, according to officials.
However, officials warn that the fields may be closed again this summer for further testing.
