? Several people are in custody Thursday after police say they shut down a multi-million dollar, cross-country marijuana ring based in Bridgeport.
For the past two and a half years, police say the drugs were flowing from a Mountain Grove Street home, after being shipped UPS from California. The dealers would allegedly send about $100,000 to Los Angeles and receive marijuana shipments worth $2.2 million on Connecticut streets.
Police arrested three people earlier this week and seized pot, handguns and nearly $8,000 in cash. Steven Williams, they claim, is the ring leader. They say they have already been in contact with Williams and expect him in custody soon.
