Rasheem Williams is accused of mugging a total of 10 straphangers, mostly young women.
Officials say Williams, 37, fled to North Carolina where he was caught. Police say in each case, Williams approached his victims on the subway trains, flashed a knife or a gun and demanded personal items and bank card pin numbers.
