Two new COVID-19 vaccination sites have opened in Bridgeport and Shelton.
Griffin Health transformed a vacant space next to its Occupational Medicine Center in Shelton into a vaccination clinic.
Officials with Griffin say they are capable of vaccinating 1,000 people a day.
Since it opened on Monday, the majority of those getting the vaccine are seniors 75 and older under Phase 1B of the vaccination rollout.
There's three ways to sign up, by either going through the VAMS system, calling 211, or contacting the call center at Griffin Health, which is making outreach calls.
Bridgeport also has a new vaccination site inside the gym at Central High School, which has been transformed into a clinic.
It just opened up today.
The Health Department plans to vaccinate 200 people.
Griffin Health is located on 10 Progress Drive in Shelton and is open by appointment only Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Central High School is located at 1 Lincoln Blvd. in Bridgeport and is open by appointment only on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
