Fairfield officials celebrated a milestone today in the construction of a new fire training center.
A crowd gathered for the topping off ceremony for the Fairfield Regional Fire Training School on One Rod Highway.
Officials say the people involved with the project signed the final steel beam on the building.
Fire officials say people come from across the area to the training school, so it's great to be working on a new, upgraded facility.
Officials say the state provided millions of dollars in funding for the upgrades.
