The state held its Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission's 38th Annual MLK Day Commemorative Liberty Bell Ringing Ceremony and Awards Program in Hartford today.
State leaders were on hand to speak about Dr. King's life and legacy and Gov. Ned Lamont talked about the Reverand's visit to Connecticut as a young man.
Gov. Lamont said Dr. King was the prince of justice and peace and that's why they gathered to honor him.
Acapella group, Shades of Yale also performed at the ceremony.
