A Connecticut K-9 officer who retired earlier this month has died.

K-9 Hunter was part of the Environmental Conservation Police.

Police say, "Hunter was the most successful tracking dog of the EnCon team over the last 10 years."

Hunter is credited with once finding a distraught teen, as well as others who were lost.
