Darien has approved a new measure that will allow more commuters permanent parking spaces at the town's train stations.
With thousands of people on a five-year waiting list for a parking permit, the Board of Selectmen on Monday approved the addition of 75 more spaces at a discounted rate.
People with permits are getting first crack at the discounted spots. The town will then offer available spaces to people on the waiting list.
