Darien police Chief Donald Anderson is set to retire after four decades of service on April 1.
Anderson says he has accomplished more than he ever thought possible and did it without taking a single sick day.
He will pass the reigns to his successor, captain Jeremiah Marron Jr., as the department's 12th chief of police.
Marron is a 28-year veteran of the department who graduated from the Connecticut Police Academy in 1996.
