There was a big turnout at Darien High School on Sunday as the community rallied around twins who were diagnosed with a rare disorder.

Jeremy and Miles Clark have the condition called Dravet syndrome.

Another pair of twins, Ryan and Chris Thurlow, who are seniors, organized the fundraiser for their classmates.

They say the money raised will benefit the Dravet Syndrome Foundation.

"It was amazing just to see, it really brought tears to my eyes to notice how special we are to live in a community so tight and so fond of each other's accomplishments," Ryan Thurlow said.

"There is currently no cure for Dravet Syndrome, so research is very vital, and we got a lot of money towards it, and the whole community showed up for this family. They're really appreciative, they keep saying 'thank you so much,'" said Chris Thurlow.

The event raised over $17,000.
