Dr. Liz Matheis, education ambassador Brook Leighton discuss ways for parents to deal with stress during the pandemic
Many parents are dealing with the stress of working from home, in addition to some children learning virtually at home.
News 12's Elizabeth Hashagen is joined by Dr. Liz Matheis, a clinical psychologist, and Brook Leighton, an education ambassador in New York City, about how families can help each while working or learning at home.
Matheis is also a certified school psychologist who provides emotional support for parents and school-based counseling for children.
Leighton is a Volunteer Advocacy Ambassador for Autism Speaks and a Partner for Progress, which is a leader in a disability policy-making program through Cornell University. She runs a Facebook page called NYS Inclusive Education Taskforce that helps advise parents on special education issues.
