A driver crashed into a Bridgeport grocery store Saturday, narrowly missing the store's owners.
The owners of Fresh Halal Meat and International Food, located on Madison Avenue, say a woman was pulling into the store's parking lot around 10 a.m. when she hit the gas by mistake and went crashing through the front of the store.
They say the crash through brick and plate glass sounded like an explosion.
No one was seriously injured in the crash.
The store's owner says the crash comes at the worst possible time because he is forced to close his shop at the height of Ramadan, resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars.
Police say the driver of the car is unlikely to face any charges.
