One Dutchess County woman is going above and beyond for a cause, and she is doing it one step at a time.
Tara Simmons says she is on a personal journey from survivor to warrior.
She is traveling more than 3,000 miles from Death Valley, California to Beacon, New York where she is originally from.
She’s making the trek by any means possible, including biking, running, and walking.
Simmons says she wants people who are feeling powerless to reach a point where they are living fearlessly.
She hopes to inspire and raise awareness of every person's fundamental human rights through education and actions.
