A former Newtown police sergeant will spend the next 16 months in prison for running a steroid ring.
Steven Santucci was sentenced yesterday in federal court.
In December, Santucci pleaded guilty to making the steroids from ingredients he ordered from China and handing them off to about a dozen dealers.
Once released from prison, he will have to serve six months under house arrest and pay $5,000 in fines.
