Experts with CT Deep say that despite the warm stretch Connecticut has been having, the temperatures in large bodies of water are still unsafe for recreation.
"It feels like summer, but the water feels like winter," said Mason Trumble, deputy commissioner of CT Deep.
"If you are in the water, near the water, or on the water... please be careful. We don't have lifeguards yet," he added.
The current temperature in the Long Island Sound is a reported bone-chilling 50 degrees.
