The Fairfield American Little League baseball team has done it again.
The team brought home the state championship Sunday for the third year in a row, advancing them to the New England regional tournament.
Fairfield topped Manchester National 11-9 in a back-and-forth affair, continuing a tradition of winning that included a trip to the Little League World Series last year.
But this year's team won from scratch -- no players from their 2017 roster returned in 2018.
Next up is a game against Rhode Island Sunday at 1 p.m.
