The Fairfield American Little League team is preparing for its first game in the Little League World Series. The squad posted a 19-0 record during the regular season, and is now heading to Williamsport, Pa. after defeating New Hampshire in Saturday's regional championship game. Many of the players' parents say summer ball is an expensive family commitment, especially with all of the travel involved. However, they also say they are thrilled for the team's upcoming challenges. Fairfield's first matchup is this Thursday at 3 p.m. against Patoleuma, Calif. Fairfield Little League headed to World Series
