A Fairfield mother has created a mental health group for parents and educators of teens and preteens.
Georgette Pascale said more than 500 people have joined her Facebook community "Middle Meets", which she says also includes a wide range of in-person activities.
She says the group can help with everything from mental health issues to social media and college preparations.
“We're able to vet resources and bring you things and bring you what you need in a timely manner, whether that's a tutor or a mental health therapist, or the latest that's going on with FAFSA [Free Application for Federal Student Aid] in college, all in one place,” Pascale said. “So, it's a one-stop shop to get all of your needs for teens and tweens."
She mentioned that many middle-aged parents are often overlooked as they care for both their elderly parents and their teenagers and preteens.
