With more than eight burglaries in recent weeks, Fairfield police are advising residents to be careful with their cars, electronics and homes to keep them safe from burglary.
Authorities say thieves will stay away from homes with proper lighting, trimmed hedges and closed garage doors. Police advise residents to always lock doors and windows, keep electronics out of cars or out of view and to call police if anything suspicious happens.
"Calling us is important because you might have that little piece of the puzzle that we need to literally close this out," says Fairfield Police Sgt. James Perez.
