A teenager is recovering after he was hurt while climbing a utility tower Friday in Fairfield.
Police say the teen's clothes were burned after an electrical current caused his clothes to catch fire around 2 p.m. near the Cascades area and Lake Mohegan.
The 16-year-old managed to walk away after suffering burns.
Investigators say someone who saw the teen after he was injured called 911, and he was taken to the hospital.
Police say the teen's injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
