The Fairfield woman charged with manslaughter following the death of a 4-month-old at her day care pleaded not guilty Tuesday morning.
Carol Cardillo is accused of giving Adam Seagull a lethal dose of an antihistamine found in popular over-the-counter drugs like Benadryl.
Court documents have shown that Cardillo had purchased 90 bottles of Benadryl over the past 3 ½ years.
Investigators initially thought Seagull died from SIDS.
Cardillo is due back in court Oct. 25.
