Sunday marked the first day of Connecticut’s tax-free shopping week, just in time for back-to-school shopping.
Items under $100 like backpacks, clothing and shoes are tax-free, and customers are taking advantage of the savings at places like Groove in Westport.
Some stores even remain open longer during tax-free week.
Tax-free week doesn't only apply to kids going back to school - adults can take part in saving some money as well.
Experts expect Connecticut shoppers will save more $4 million in taxes this week.
