The Bridgeport man who died in a car crash on Route 15 Monday morning had six siblings and was engaged to be married later this year.

Carlos Salgado, 21, lost control of his car near exit 59 in Woodbridge Monday morning before slamming through a fence and into two trees. He died at the scene.

Relatives say they are part of a very close-knit family, and Salgado planned to get married in September.

"He was a gentleman, wanted to give me the world," says his fiancee, Crystal Cordero.

The family has started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses. There will also be a fundraiser at Elio Barbershop on East Main Street in Bridgeport Monday.
