FEMA has announced that Connecticut has been approved for a grant under the Lost Wages Assistance program Monday.
FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor says the grant funding will allow the state to provide an extra $300 a week on top of unemployment benefits for those unemployed due to the pandemic.
He says the agency will work with Gov. Ned Lamont to make the funding available to residents.
