Days before a pizzeria held its grand opening, a fire closed the shop as workers attempted to go through a dry-run of a business day.
The fire marshal will investigate the actual cause of the fire, but fire officials say the walls of the store weren't built to handle the amount of heat the ovens put out. The pizzeria is located on East Fordham Road and Webster Avenue.
More than 100 firefighters were on scene and three nearby businesses suffered smoke and water damage.
