A fire in Bridgeport damaged a two-story building early Friday morning.
Fire crews were at the scene on Pembroke Street where officials say the flames started in the basement and spread all the way to the attic.
Fire officials say about a half dozen people made it out safely before firefighters arrived.
One person was taken to the hospital with a minor foot injury.
The home was deemed uninhabitable, and the Red Cross has been called to provide aid to those left homeless.
