State and local fire investigators continued their probe Monday of a Stratford fire that killed two people last week.
The town's fire marshal says the investigation has been drawn out because of the extensive damage done to 48 Kathleen Drive.
Firefighters say there are no hydrants in the area and that crews were forced to bring in tankers and lay more than 2,000 feet of hose to get water on the flames.
Two people, 86-year-old Margaret Anurum and 73-year-old Samuel Gardner, were killed in the fire.
