Three businesses were destroyed in Clermont after a fire tore through a commercial strip early Friday morning.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out at around 5:15 a.m. inside the kitchen of a Spanish restaurant on East 170th Street, spreading black smoke to an African restaurant next door and a vacant space upstairs. The businesses were closed at the time the fire ignited.
According to the fire chief, the blaze was put out within four hours. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
