Fire officials in New Haven responded to an electrical fire at a power station Saturday night, closing down a section of I-95 for almost an hour.
A spokesman for the city says it happened at a conversion station that feeds electricity into a major transmission line.
Fire crews say they decided to let the fire burn itself out for safety reasons.
News 12 is told the smoke cleared once all the oil burned out of an oil tank.
