The outfits worn by President Barack Obama?s daughters during Tuesday?s inauguration are making a big splash all over Connecticut.
Many shoppers on Westport?s Main Street say they already knew the outfits worn by first daughters Sasha and Malia were from J. Crew. The creative director from J. Crew released a statement saying, "We wanted to offer a collection that would not define them, but one that would let their own personalities shine through. We are honored to be part of such a momentous occasion in both history and fashion."
?They are so graceful,? says Charles Rockwell, of Westport. ?I'm just proud to have them in the White House.?
J. Crew officials also say some of the designs were specifically made for the first family, but highlights may be featured in the fall 2009 collection.
