The Fordham University football team defeated Colgate 34-31 Saturday for only the fourth time in 19 tries since 1989.
The Rams were behind 24-13 at the half, but rallied to score 21 points in the third quarter to take the lead in the Patriot League opener at Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y. Fordham then managed to hold on for the win.
Fordham improved to 3-1 overall, 1-0 in the league. The last time the Rams won at Colgate was 1995.
