Another former education official for Gov. Ned Lamont is heading to Washington, D.C.
The Biden administration has selected Nick Simmons to be a senior advisor to U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona.
Simmons worked with Cardona for two years when Cardona was in charge of education in Connecticut.
Simmons' job is helping to get kids across the country safely back into their classrooms.
